2012 FORD EDGE; 2013 FORD EDGE
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2012-2013 Edge vehicles equipped with 2.0L engines that were manufactured between September 2, 2010, and April 25, 2013. The fuel line pulse damper metal housing in these vehicles may crack due to an improper manufacturing process, which could cause fuel to leak from the fuel system. If a fuel leak occurs near an ignition source, it may result in a fire.
To remedy this issue, Ford dealers will replace the fuel line with one that does not have a damper at no cost to owners. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 to arrange service. The recall began February 25, 2014, and is identified as Ford recall number 13S13. Importantly, if a vehicle was previously repaired under recall 12V-438, it must have the current remedy applied as well.
