What happened

General Motors is recalling certain 2013-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD, Chevrolet Express, and GMC Sierra HD vehicles, as well as 2013 GMC Savana compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. These vehicles have a CNG fuel-only label with text that is smaller than required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 303. The undersized text on the label could make it less noticeable to vehicle owners.

The smaller label text may inhibit proper fuel tank inspection practices and safe refueling, which could increase the risk of fire. GM will notify owners and send them a replacement label at no charge. The recall began on December 3, 2015. Affected consumers can contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and can reference GM recall number 13365.
