What happened

Seagrave Fire Apparatus is recalling certain model year 2011 and 2012 Marauder II pumper emergency vehicles (models TB70CM, TB50CL, TB40CL, TB70CX, TB70CL, and TB70CO) manufactured between November 23, 2010, and October 22, 2012. These vehicles contain Meritor axle assemblies with MGM J24 series air brake chambers that may leak pressure, causing the parking brake to drag when it should be released. This brake dragging could lead to overheated brake components and potentially result in a fire.

Seagrave will replace the affected actuators free of charge. The recall began on April 23, 2013. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Seagrave's OnTrac Customer service center at 1-866-668-7221 to arrange for the necessary replacement.
