Is my product affected?

2012 AUTOCAR XPERT

  • Brand AUTOCAR

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Autocar is recalling certain 2012 Xpert vehicles manufactured between October 17, 2011, and September 17, 2012, with serial numbers ranging from 213522 through 215336. The seat belt anchorages in these vehicles cannot withstand the required 3,000-pound forces for the specified duration, meaning they do not meet federal safety standards. In a crash, this defective anchorage could prevent the seat belt from properly restraining an occupant, increasing the risk of injury.

Autocar will notify owners of the recall, and authorized dealers will repair the seat belts at no charge. The recall began on March 1, 2013. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Autocar at 1-765-489-5499.
