Jayco is recalling certain motorhomes and fifth-wheel recreational vehicles manufactured between June 15, 2006, and August 13, 2010, due to a defective electrical connection at the buss bar in their transfer switches. The improper connection can cause the transfer switch to overheat and melt, creating a fire hazard that could result in injury or death.
Jayco dealers will replace the affected transfer switches at no cost to owners. Owners of recalled vehicles should contact Jayco at 1-800-283-8267 to arrange for the repair.
