Is my product affected?

2012 FISKER KARMA

  • Brand FISKER

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Fisker is recalling certain 2012 Karma vehicles manufactured between September 22, 2011, and January 20, 2012, due to a potential fire hazard in the battery system. During assembly, some hose clamps in the high-voltage battery may have been positioned incorrectly, which could allow the battery compartment cover to interfere with them and cause coolant to leak from the cooling hoses into the battery compartment. If coolant enters the battery compartment, an electrical short could occur and result in a fire.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified and instructed not to charge or drive their vehicles. Owners should contact an authorized Fisker dealer, who will arrange to transport the vehicle to a repair facility where the high-voltage battery will be replaced with a new one at no charge. Owners may also contact Fisker Consumer Affairs at 1-855-575-7577, option 2, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
