Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Karma Automotive is recalling certain 2012 Fisker Karma vehicles originally sold or registered in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas due to a defect in the passenger-side frontal air bag inflators. In a crash requiring deployment of this air bag, the inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation caused by long-term exposure to humidity and temperature changes. A rupture could result in metal fragments striking occupants and causing serious injury or death.

Karma will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the affected air bag inflators at no charge. Owners of potentially affected vehicles should contact Karma Automotive Client Services Team at clientservices@karmaautomotive.com or 1-855-288-6109 to confirm whether their vehicle is included in this recall (Karma recall number 5.84.17.001.01). The recall began on September 8, 2017.
