General Motors is recalling certain 2011-2012 Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, and GMC Acadia vehicles currently registered in specific northern U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Snow or ice buildup on the windshield or wiper can restrict the wiper arm's movement, causing the arm to loosen and making the wipers stop working. This loss of visibility could increase the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners of affected vehicles, and authorized dealers will tighten the wiper arm nuts at no charge. The safety recall began on April 20, 2012.
