Is my product affected?

2011 SUZUKI EQUATOR; 2012 SUZUKI EQUATOR

  • Brand SUZUKI

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Suzuki is recalling certain 2011-2012 Equator pickup trucks manufactured between June 16, 2011, and August 31, 2011. The connector bolts that attach the engine oil cooler and engine oil filter to the engine may have been manufactured below specification strength, which could cause them to break at the oil filter attachment point and result in an engine oil leak.

If an engine oil leak occurs, the engine oil pressure will drop and the engine could seize, increasing the risk of a crash. Suzuki will notify owners and dealers will replace the connector bolts free of charge. Owners should contact Suzuki at 1-714-996-7040.
