2011 BUICK LACROSSE; 2011 CADILLAC SRX
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
General Motors is recalling certain 2011 Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac SRX vehicles because a software issue in the Electronic Climate Control (ECC) module may disable the driver's ability to adjust the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system settings. If the defrost system is affected by this condition when needed, it could reduce the driver's visibility and potentially cause a crash.
Dealers will reprogram the ECC module at no charge to owners. To arrange service, owners of affected Buick vehicles should call 1-866-608-8080, owners of affected Cadillac vehicles should call 1-866-982-2339, or owners can visit the GM Owner Center at www.gmownercenter.com. The safety recall began on March 11, 2011.
