2010 CADILLAC SRX
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
General Motors is recalling certain 2010 Cadillac SRX vehicles equipped with either 2.8L or 3.0L gas engines due to a potential defect in the power steering pressure line. During manufacturing, the crimping process may have damaged the line, which could lead to a power steering fluid leak. If enough fluid leaks out, the driver may notice noise from the power steering pump and experience increased steering effort.
If power steering fluid sprays onto hot engine parts, an engine compartment fire could occur. Dealers will inspect the power steering line and replace it if necessary at no cost to the owner. The safety recall began on November 12, 2010. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Cadillac at 1-866-982-2339.
