Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Nissan has recalled certain 2010 Frontier, Pathfinder, and Xterra vehicles manufactured between February 22, 2010 and March 13, 2010 due to a defect in the passenger front air bag system. On some of these vehicles, the fasteners that secure the passenger front air bag module and the steering shaft positioning bracket may not have been tightened to the proper specifications. If these fasteners come loose or fall out, the passenger front air bag deployment trajectory could be affected in the event of a crash, increasing crash risk.
Nissan dealers will inspect the steering column and passenger front air bag fasteners at no charge, replacing any missing fasteners and retightening any loose fasteners to the proper specifications. The recall began on April 19, 2010. Affected consumers should contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261 to have their vehicle serviced.
