What happened

Atwood Mobile Products is recalling certain range/oven combo cooking ranges with model numbers beginning with RV1735, RV2135, and RA2135 that were manufactured on or before September 20, 2010. These units were installed as original equipment in various recreational vehicles or sold as aftermarket equipment. The gas supply line to the oven box may be fractured, which can cause gas to leak through the wall of the fractured line and potentially build up inside the RV. In the presence of an ignition source, this leak could lead to a fire or explosion, and the gas buildup also poses a risk of asphyxiation.

Atwood is working with RV manufacturers to identify owners of affected units and will notify owners of record who purchased the units as aftermarket equipment. Owners of affected units can contact Atwood at 1-574-266-4749. The company will inspect the units free of charge, and those found to be defective will be repaired at no cost. The recall began on October 4, 2010.
