This Steck rechargeable torch with 16 LEDs (model STL 2820) has been recalled due to multiple electrical and fire hazards. The mains supply cord has insufficient wire cross-section that could cause overheating and fire during a short circuit. The plug dimensions are undersized, allowing users to touch live pins during connection. The storage compartment has sharp edges that could expose live parts if the cord is damaged, and the protective lampshade can be removed by hand while the device is charging, also exposing live parts. The product fails to meet Low Voltage Directive requirements and European standard EN 60598.
