Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain passenger car models including the C-Class, CLS, E-Class, G-Class, GLC, GLE, GLS, and S-Class due to a defect in the vacuum-controlled coolant pump. The pump may not be properly sealed between the coolant and vacuum circuits, which could allow coolant to leak into the vacuum circuit and trigger an electrochemical reaction that increases the risk of fire.
According to the recall record, Mercedes-Benz as the manufacturer is taking measures to recall the product from end users. However, the source document does not specify what actions affected consumers should take to participate in the recall or how to contact the manufacturer.
