A counterfeit plastic My Little Pony toy has been recalled due to chemical hazards. The toy is a pink unicorn made of soft plastic with a pink head, tail, and horn, sold in a pink cardboard box marked with model number 199748 and EAN 6921997480801. The product contains 30% by weight of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), a chemical prohibited in toys under REACH Regulation because of health risks to children.

The packaging is a pink-coloured cardboard box, marked with the CE mark, a pictogram concerning the age 0-3-years old restriction, the name and address of the importer, the inscription: “Made in and the warnings: “Product not suitable for children below 3 years” and “Keep the packaging due to useful information”.
