Passenger car - Altea and Toledo
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
SEAT is recalling certain Altea and Toledo passenger cars manufactured between December 1, 2006 and December 21, 2007 that are equipped with diesel engines and do not have stationary heating. The vehicles are affected if their chassis numbers (VINs) fall within four specified ranges. The recall addresses a fire risk caused by an earthing wire for the electric heating element of the additional air heating that can be incorrectly screwed into place, potentially causing the wire to overheat at the cable connection area.
An incorrectly secured earthing wire may lead to overheating and, in the worst-case scenario, could set the vehicle on fire. SEAT has initiated voluntary corrective actions to address this issue, though the recall record does not specify what remedy an affected consumer should pursue.
