The recalled Lighting chain – 100 Musical lights is a string of 100 replaceable miniature incandescent lamps connected in two series of 50 lamps to a sound-generating unit with volume control. The product poses a risk of electric shock and fire due to inadequate cord anchorage against pulling and twisting, insufficient insulation between live and accessible parts, and flashover that occurred during electrical strength testing. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the European standard EN 60598.
