Certain Audi A6 Avant and Audi Q7 vehicles manufactured between June 2004 and July 2007 have a defect in their power tailgate system. When the tailgate opens automatically, it may unexpectedly close abruptly after a period of time. A small number of cases worldwide have resulted in minor injuries from this issue.
