KTM is recalling certain 2010 model year motorcycles due to a defect in the connecting rods caused by a faulty grinding process used by the supplier. The affected models are the 450 SX-F, 450 SX-F Nagl Replica, 450 SMR, and 505 ATV SX motorcycles delivered between November 23, 2009 and February 28, 2010. Micro-fissures in the connecting rods may cause the upper conrod bearing to fracture under certain load conditions, which could result in the rider falling.
