Dell computer battery packs in multiple model numbers pose a risk of burns because metallic particles inside the battery cells may cause them to overheat or catch fire under certain rare conditions. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive. Eleven overheating-related incidents have been reported, with no resulting personal injuries.
