A manual water pump model MC06-1054 sold under the HUILE brand is being recalled due to a safety hazard. The pump, which attaches to standard bottles and stands 15.5 cm tall with a 7 cm diameter, contains a metal spring that rusts quickly. As the spring oxidizes, small particles of rusted metal detach and fall into the drinking water, creating a contamination risk. The pump consists of three colored parts: a blue pump head on top, a white cylinder case in the middle, and a blue lower cylinder at the bottom with an attached elbow pipe for pouring and a 3-piece pipe for pumping water from the bottle.
The manufacturer has voluntarily withdrawn this product from the market. The recall source does not specify what consumers should do if they have already purchased this pump or what remedy is available to affected consumers.
