Magic Christmas lighting chains with either 300 or 180 multicolored lights have been recalled due to electric shock hazards. The products contain defects including lack of supply cord anchorage in the controller, inadequate wiring (0.2 mm² instead of the required minimum 0.5 mm²), and incorrectly sized plug dimensions that do not meet European Standards. Additionally, the cable lacks required markings, and the products do not comply with the Low Voltage Directive or European Standard EN 60598.

The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- there is no supply cord anchorage in the controller – flasher,- there is no double-insulation cable in different colours, - the cross-sectional area of the wiring (0.2 mm2) does not comply with the requirements of the relevant European Standards (min. acceptable 0.5 mm2) (items 1 & 2), - the width of the plug base is 12.05 mm (min. acceptable 13.70 ± 0.70 mm) (items 1 & 2) - the distance between the pins of the plug is 17.07 for item 1 and 17.08 for item 2 (min. acceptable 18.00 – 19.20 mm), In addition the cable does not bear the required markings.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European Standard EN 60598.
