Meijer has recalled Touch Point brand oscillating forced air fan heaters because exposed and unshielded electrical components inside the units can cause the heaters to overheat and melt, creating fire and electrical shock hazards. The recall involves model number HW-218 with date code 0811. The affected heaters are white, measure 12 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 8 inches deep, and feature two round control knobs, a red warning light on the top front, a black on/off switch on the front base, and "Touch Point" written on the right front of the base. The model number and date code appear on a silver sticker on the bottom of the heater, and the UPC 7-13733-30927-1 is on the bottom of the packaging.
