American Landmaster is recalling certain utility vehicles from series EV, L3, L4, L5, L5W, and L7 that were manufactured between March 2021 and October 2021 and equipped with standard steering. The recalled vehicles have a defective steering shaft that can separate from the joint, which would cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and create a risk of crashes and injuries. The affected vehicles were sold in red, blue, and camouflage colors, with the model name appearing on the frame near the front left wheel.
According to the recall notice, affected consumers should stop using the recalled vehicles immediately and contact American Landmaster for instructions on how to have the vehicle inspected and repaired at no cost. American Landmaster is contacting all registered owners directly and can direct consumers to an authorized repair shop for inspection and repair if needed. Consumers can identify their vehicle's model year and manufacturing date on a data plate located behind the vehicle's pedals.
