What happened

Hart 18-Gauge 2" Brad Nailers with model numbers HPNR01, HPNR01B, HPNR01B-SK, or HPNR01BNCA are being recalled due to a malfunctioning contact sensor that can cause the nailer to involuntarily discharge a nail, creating a serious injury risk to users or bystanders. The white, blue, and black handheld tools have "HART" printed on the side and "18ga BRAD NAILER" on the nail tray, with model numbers located on the side of the nail tray. These nailers were sold exclusively at Walmart.

Consumers who own a recalled nailer should immediately stop using it and return it to any Walmart USA store for a full refund. Alternatively, consumers may request a free mail return by scheduling a pickup from their home by calling 800-776-5191.
