  • Brand KTM North America Inc., of Amherst, Ohio

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

KTM North America has recalled specific 2021 and 2022 Husqvarna and GASGAS off-road motorcycles because retaining "R" clips on the front brake caliper pin can fall out, causing the front brakes to fail and creating a crash hazard. The affected models are the 2022 Husqvarna TE 150i, TE 250i, TE 300i, FE 350, and FE 501, as well as the 2021 GASGAS EC 300 and 2022 GASGAS EC 250. Owners can identify their motorcycles by checking the model number sticker on the side panels (Husqvarna) or rear fender (GASGAS), and by verifying the 10th character of the VIN located on the right side of the steering head—"M" for 2021 models and "N" for 2022 models.

Consumers who own one of the recalled motorcycles should immediately stop riding and contact an authorized Husqvarna or GASGAS Motorcycles dealer to schedule a free repair that involves inspecting the retaining "R" clips for correct mounting. Husqvarna and GASGAS Motorcycles are contacting all known purchasers directly.
