What happened

KTM North America has recalled certain 2016 model year Husqvarna TC and FC motorcycles and KTM SX and SX-F motorcycles due to a defect in the front wheel spoke assembly. The affected motorcycles include models with 250cc to 450cc four-cycle engines and 125cc to 250cc two-cycle engines. The front wheel spoke assembly can fail, which may cause the operator to lose control of the motorcycle and crash.

Consumers who own recalled motorcycles should immediately stop riding them and contact an authorized KTM/Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer to schedule a free repair. To identify whether a motorcycle is affected, owners should check the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the right side of the steering head for the letter G in the 10th position, and verify the motorcycle matches the described colors and logos (blue, white, and yellow for Husqvarna; orange, black, and white for KTM).
