TJX is recalling counter stools sold at HomeGoods and Homesense stores due to a hazard that the stools can break or collapse, potentially causing falls and injuries. The recalled stools are swivel models with wooden legs and fabric backrests trimmed with rivets around the seat, measuring approximately 36 inches tall with a seat height of about 25.5 inches. They were sold in gray faux leather or in light gray, dark gray, or blue/cream herringbone fabrics, and can be identified by one of these style numbers on the hang tag: 61057, 61063, 61064, 62332, 65129, 65130, 66413, or 66414. A "CHINA" label is attached to the bottom of the seat.
Consumers who own these stools should immediately stop using them. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should return the stools to any HomeGoods or Homesense store and choose either a full refund or a store gift card.
