What happened

BRP is recalling model years 2020 and 2021 Defender HD10 side-by-side vehicles equipped with Apache 360 LT or Apache Backcountry track systems. The stock CVT air intake can become completely obstructed with snow, causing the drive belt to overheat and break, which poses a fire hazard. The recall affects 20 different Defender HD10 model variants, all with 82 HP engines in various colors. Vehicle owners can identify their model name and Vehicle Identification Number on a label located under the glove box.

Consumers should immediately stop using track kits on the recalled vehicles in snow conditions. BRP recommends that affected owners contact a Can-Am dealer for a free repair and is directly contacting all known purchasers about this recall.
