What happened

HSN is recalling approximately 5.4 million handheld clothing steamers sold under the Joy/JM brand names "My Little Steamer" and "My Little Steamer Go Mini." The recalled steamers are 120V, 60Hz, 900-watt handheld electrical devices that use hot steam to remove wrinkles from fabrics. They were sold in full-size and compact sizes in various colors including black, white, red, purple, and teal, with either flat or triangular steamer heads. The steamers were sold individually or in combination sets between January 2015 and December 2020.

The steamers can expel, spray, or leak hot water during use, creating a serious burn hazard. According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the affected units and contact HSN. Depending on the purchase date, consumers are eligible to receive either a full refund (for units purchased January 2018 to December 2020), a partial refund (for units purchased January 2015 to December 2017), or a voucher (for units purchased before January 2015).
