What happened

MTIG Productions is recalling three essential oil products—deSensua Wintergreen, Birch, and Pain Soother Essential Oils—because their packaging does not meet child-resistant packaging requirements mandated by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. These products contain methyl salicylate, a substance that requires child-resistant packaging, and the current non-resistant packaging creates a poisoning risk if young children swallow the contents. The recalled items are 1/2 fl. oz (15 mL) amber glass bottles with black caps and black, gold, and blue labels displaying the deSensua logo; the Wintergreen has UPC 760921403266, the Birch has UPC 760921403129, and the Pain Soother has UPC 760921403051.

If you have purchased one of these products, you should immediately store it in a safe location out of reach of children and contact MTIG Productions for a full refund. The recall source notes that all known purchasers are being contacted directly.
