Potter Electric is recalling certain Addressable Pull Stations used to manually activate fire alarm systems in commercial and other buildings. The red pull handles on some of these units can fail to activate the fire alarm when manually pulled, which could prevent occupants from being alerted to a fire. The recall affects two models: the Addressable Dual Action Pull Station (Model PAD100-PSDA, Part Number 3992720, dated Dec 03 2020) and the Addressable Single Action Pull Station (Model PAD100-PSSA, Part Number 3992721, with date codes from Nov 10 2020 through Dec 03 2020). All affected devices have "Potter" printed on the front, and the date code can be found inside the device.
Consumers who have these recalled pull stations should immediately contact Potter Electric or their fire alarm system dealers or installers to obtain a free replacement. Potter Electric has already notified all known distributors and dealers/installers about this recall.
