What happened

Dr. Reddy's is recalling blister packages of nine prescription medications due to packaging that is not child resistant, which poses a poisoning risk if young children swallow the contents. The recalled medications are Imatinib Mesylate Tablets (100 mg and 400 mg), Pregabalin Capsules (50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, and 150 mg), Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets (800 mg), and Tadalafil Tablets (5 mg and 20 mg). These products were labeled for institutional use only but were distributed through third-party wholesalers to retail pharmacies where they may have been dispensed to consumers. The packages are identified by NDC numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates printed on the outside and individual blister units.
