Kobalt brand 40-volt lithium ion 12-inch cordless electric chainsaws sold at Lowe's stores are being recalled because the chainsaw can remain in the "on" position, creating a laceration hazard. The recall affects model numbers KCS 120-07 and KCS 120 with date codes from November 1, 2013 through March 31, 2020. These blue and black chainsaws have "Kobalt," "40v max," and "12 in. 30 cm" printed on them, and the model number and date code can be found on the label in the rear handle.
