Kolcraft is recalling the inclined sleeper accessory that comes with two bassinet models: the Cuddle 'n Care 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper (model numbers starting with KB063) and the Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper (model numbers starting with KB061). Infant fatalities have been reported with other manufacturers' inclined sleep products when infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side. The model number can be found on the metal bar between the bassinet's legs.
According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the inclined sleeper accessory. Affected consumers can contact Kolcraft to receive either a $35 voucher for use on www.Kolcraft.com (valid until February 20, 2022) or a $20 refund. Kolcraft is sending postcards directly to registered owners and known purchasers. Consumers can continue using the bassinet itself without the inclined sleeper accessory.
