Star Water Systems is recalling pedestal sump pumps sold under the brand names Utilitech, Do It, and Star Water Systems. The recalled pumps can overheat, which poses a fire hazard. The recall affects only specific model numbers with manufacturing dates between certain periods: Utilitech model #148009 (manufactured 1017-0219), Do It model #433063 (manufactured 0214-0219), and Star Water Systems model #3CEH (manufactured 0715-0219). Model and manufacture date codes are printed on the nameplate of each pump.
