What happened

Amazon is recalling AmazonBasics 1500 watt ceramic space heaters due to a hazard where the heaters can overheat, creating fire and burn risks. The recall involves four models identified by their ASINs: B074MR2HGM and B074MWRLZM (which have oscillating fans) and B074MX8VNR and B074MWKSLX (which do not have oscillating fans). The heaters were sold in black and silver colors and feature the AmazonBasics logo on the front, with ID numbers printed on the label on the back of the units.

According to the recall notice, consumers who purchased these heaters should immediately stop using them. Amazon is contacting all known purchasers directly with full instructions on how to obtain a full refund.
