InSinkErator has recalled its SinkTop Switch accessory for garbage disposals due to a fire hazard. The recalled product is a single outlet air-activated switch that mounts to the sink or countertop as an alternative to traditional wall switches. The affected model numbers are 76703, STS-SOSN, 78251, and 74300, which can be found on the back of the power module. The switches were sold with chrome, white, or satin nickel button/bezels. Water can enter the power module, creating a fire hazard. Garbage disposals controlled by wall switches are not affected by this recall.
