Cub Cadet is recalling certain four-wheel drive Volunteer gasoline-powered utility vehicles because the front lower ball joint can detach, which would cause loss of steering control and create a crash hazard. The recall affects eight model numbers: 37BB475H710, 37BC465D710, 37BC466D710, 37BK466D710, 37BK46GD710, 37BM466D710, 37BM467D710, and 37BM46GD710. Serial numbers included in the recall fall between 1C290Z50001 and 1D280Z50007, with a "C" or "D" in the second position and a "0" as the fifth digit. Model and serial numbers can be found on a plate under the driver's seat.
Consumers with affected vehicles should immediately stop using them and contact their local Cub Cadet dealer to schedule a free repair. Cub Cadet is contacting all known consumers directly.
