Polaris is recalling model year 2016 and 2017 General 2- and 4-seat side-by-side recreational off-highway vehicles due to a steering wheel shaft that can shift and detach while in use, which can cause loss of control and result in a crash. The recalled vehicles were sold in black, blue, camouflage, orange, red, silver, and white and feature a cargo box on the back, with "Polaris" printed on the front grill, "GENERAL" on the rear panel, and "1000" on the front panel.
If you own one of these vehicles, you should immediately stop using it and contact Polaris to schedule a free repair. Polaris is contacting all known purchasers directly regarding this recall.

This recall involves model year 2016 and 2017 Polaris General 2- and 4-seat side-by-side recreational off-highway vehicles.
