What happened

Polaris is recalling Scrambler XP 1000 all-terrain vehicles from model years 2014 through 2017 because the throttle release switch can fail, which creates a crash hazard. The recalled ATVs have "Polaris" stamped on the front grill and rear panel, "Scrambler XP" on the center panel, and were sold in black, lime, red, or white. The affected model numbers are A14GH9EAW, A15SVE95AW, A16SVE95AM, A16SVE95AA, and A17SVE95AM, which can be found on the fuel tank cover. Consumers can check their vehicle identification number (VIN) on the Polaris website at www.polaris.com to determine if their ATV is included in the recall.

According to the recall, consumers with affected vehicles should immediately stop using the recalled ATVs and contact Polaris to schedule a free repair.
