What happened

Renthal is recalling all Generation 1 and Generation 2 motorcycle clip-on aluminum handlebars due to a defect where the handlebar clamp can crack and fail, creating a crash hazard. Generation 1 handlebars feature a golden 40mm tube with a black clamp and texturized gray end cover, with Renthal and adjustability markings etched on both the tube and clamp. Generation 2 handlebars have a silver 20mm tube with a black tip on one end and a two-screw clamp on the other end, with Renthal printed on the clamp. The recalled models include CL100, CL101, CL102, CL103, CL104, CL105, CL106, CL107, CL108, and CL109, and were distributed or sold for use on non-public roads.

Consumers who own these handlebars should immediately stop using them and contact Renthal to receive free replacement handlebars.
