Kohler Co. is recalling Kohler and Sterling frameless by-pass bath doors sold at selected Lowe's and Home Depot locations because the glass doors can shatter, creating a laceration hazard. The recall affects three models: the Kohler Fluence frameless bath door with Bright Polished Silver finish (model R702200-L-SHP, SAU numbers 376TBX or 376TC3) sold at Lowe's stores in Folsom, California and Chantilly, Virginia; the Sterling Finesse frameless bath door with Deep Bronze finish (model 5425-59DR-G05, SAU numbers 376MDZ or 376MF8) sold at Lowe's stores in Asheville, North Carolina and Cincinnati, Ohio; and the Sterling Finesse frameless bath door with Nickel finish and Lake Mist pattern (model 5425-59N-G69, SAU numbers 376SS6 or 376SSB) sold at Home Depot stores in Augusta, Georgia, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Consumers can identify affected doors by the tempering date "080410" on the glass panel or by locating the SAU number on the white bar code label on the manufacturer's box.

Consumers who have purchased an affected bath door should immediately stop using it and contact Kohler for a free replacement door.

They can be identified by the tempering date located on the bath door glass panel, which reads "080410" or by the SAU (serial) number on the manufacturer's box.
