What happened

Leggett & Platt Office Components is recalling office chairs sold under the brands Hon, Hugg, JSI, Sitmatic, and Via Seating that contain an LP01 synchro slider mechanism. The slider mechanism, which allows users to adjust seat depth, has bolts and push nuts that can disconnect and fall from the chair. This defect can cause the seat to detach from the chair frame, creating a fall hazard.

According to the recall, consumers who own affected chairs should immediately stop using them and inspect the seat for looseness or wobbling. If you believe you have one of the recalled chairs, you should contact Leggett & Platt Office Components for a free repair.
