CPSC, Hedstrom® Corp. Announce Recall of Swings on Backyard Gym Sets

Is my product affected?

Star Cruiser® and Rocket Rider® swings on backyard gym sets

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Hedstrom Corporation has recalled swings that were sold with its metal and wood gym sets and as accessories. The recalled products include the Star Cruiser swing, which features a one-piece white plastic seat with optional mesh backing, and the Rocket Rider see-saw swing designed for two children sitting back-to-back. Screws holding these swings together can loosen and fall out, causing the seat to drop to the ground and potentially injure children.

Because Hedstrom Corporation is no longer in business and repairs are unavailable, consumers who own these swings should immediately stop using them, detach them from the gym set, and discard or destroy them.

Hazard

Screws that hold the swing together can fall out, causing the seat to fall to the ground, posing an injury risk to children.

What should I do?

Consumers should stop using the swings immediately, detach them from the gym set, and discard or destroy them. The firm is out of business and a repair is no longer available.

Details from the source

The words, "Rocket Rider" are printed on the front of each of the two handle bars/leg rests
