Crosman Corporation is recalling rope cocking devices that were shipped with Centerpoint Sniper 370 crossbows bearing serial numbers beginning with "015." The devices have tabs on their hooks that can bind when pulled back, causing the hooks to break and the rope to recoil suddenly, which can cause injuries including lacerations. The rope cocking device is a 45-inch-long rope with black plastic T-shaped handles on each end and black plastic tabbed hooks.
Consumers who own an affected rope cocking device should stop using it immediately and contact Crosman for instructions on returning it to receive a replacement device without tabs. Crosman has already contacted all known purchasers of these devices.
