Razor is recalling non-UL certified Hovertrax brand self-balancing scooters due to a fire hazard. The lithium-ion battery packs in these two-wheeled devices can overheat, which may cause the products to smoke, catch fire, and/or explode. The recalled hoverboards have serial numbers beginning with 55X120-01, 55X120-02, 55X110-01, 55X110-02, or 55X230-01, which can be found on a white sticker on the bottom of the deck or on the charger.
Consumers who own one of these recalled hoverboards should immediately stop using the product and contact Razor to return it for a free replacement hoverboard that is certified to comply with UL 2272 safety standards.

This recall involves non-UL certified Hovertrax brand self-balancing scooters, commonly referred to as hoverboards. Hovertrax hoverboards have two wheels at either end of articulated dual platforms and are powered by lithium-ion battery packs. The recalled Hovertrax brand hoverboards have serial numbers beginning with 55X120-01, 55X120-02, 55X110-01, 55X110-02 and 55X230-01. The serial number is printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the deck or on the charger.
