LG Electronics is recalling 30-pint portable dehumidifiers sold under the Goldstar and Comfort-Aire brand names because the power connector for the compressor can short circuit, creating fire and burn hazards. The recalled units are white with a red shut-off button and have controls for fan speed and humidity. Specific model numbers affected are Goldstar GHD30Y7, Goldstar DH305Y7, and Comfort-Aire BHD-301-C, with particular serial number ranges listed for each model. These dehumidifiers were sold at Home Depot, Walmart, Ace Hardware, Do It Best, Orgill Inc., and various other retailers.
