What happened

Dynacraft is recalling boys' 20-inch mountain bicycles sold at Wal-Mart under the model name "NEXT SHOCKZONE." The bicycles have orange frames with black lettering and model number 8536-33 printed on a label near the crank housing. The front-suspension forks on these bicycles can break during use and cause serious injury. Bicycles with labels indicating the fork was made in January 2000 or July 2000 are not included in this recall.

Consumers who own an affected bicycle should stop using it immediately and call Dynacraft to receive a free replacement fork and arrange for free installation.

These 20-inch, 21-speed, dual-suspension bicycles have the model name "NEXT SHOCKZONE" written on their orange frame in black lettering. A label on the frame near the crank housing reads, "Distributed by Dynacraft Industries" and "Made in China." Only the orange bicycles with model number 8536-33 are included in this recall. The model number is written on another label on the frame near the crank housing. Bicycles with a label at the bottom of the fork that reads, "Fork made Jan., 2000" or "Fork made July, 2000" are not part of this recall.
